BIO

I have over 20 years of experience teaching, working and researching in the
international development and humanitarian aid sectors. This includes eight
years working for the Australian Aid Programme in a variety of roles including
the Solomon Island Desk (2000-2003, Iraq, Afghanistan and Middle East
programmes (2004-2006) and Peace and Conflict Unit (2008). I have worked for
Care International (Iraq, Kosovo, and Aceh); and as a consultant to UNICEF
(Solomon Islands); UNDP (Uganda) and OXFAM GB (UK and India). I joined Deakin
University in February 2015 after 6 years as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at the
School of International Development at the University of East Anglia in the
UK.
