BIO

Professor Kylie Hesketh is a research intensive academic within the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition where she coordinates the Healthy Active Living Domain. With training in psychology, paediatric public health and behavioural epidemiology, she leads a program of research that focuses on parenting, physical activity, sedentary behaviours and obesity prevention in children and youth, with a focus on the early childhood period and family-based interventions that can be scaled for broad implementation. She has a strong history of partnering with stakeholders to achieve benefits for families and the community. Professor Kylie Hesketh currently holds a Future Leader Fellowship from the Heart Foundation.

Professor Hesketh is co-founder of the INFANT program. INFANT supports families with healthy eating, active play and reduced screen time from the start of their baby’s life.
