BIO

Heidi Renner is an Associate Lecturer at Deakin University, teaching into a variety of first- to third-year undergraduate units in higher education, including social psychology and developmental psychology. She is passionate about empowering students to engage deeply with their learning and to help develop the next generation of psychologists and researchers through tertiary education.

Heidi also has a demonstrated history of working with primary and secondary educational institutions, as well as community stakeholders and councils. She is skilled in program development and management, data collection and analysis, academic writing and professional report writing, and staff recruitment and management.

Heidi's PhD research explores the effect of social inclusion on school completion for youth experiencing disadvantage as a means of buffering the impact of inequity.
