MrsKatherine Zachest

Katherine's research interests include early childhood drama pedagogy, arts education and sustainability, with a particular focus on how drama and the creative arts can foster children’s connection to nature, Country and more-than-human worlds. She explores how young children express their ideas, concerns and possibilities for action through imaginative play, storytelling, role play and process drama, and how arts-based, participatory approaches can support children’s agency, care, empathy and promote planetary wellbeing.
