BIO
I am a highly experienced Educator and Curriculum Specialist, with over twelve years of experience in higher education, instructional design, and pedagogical leadership across secondary and tertiary sectors. My teaching philosophy is grounded in inclusive, student-centred practice, informed by my Master of Education (Evidence-Based Practice) from the University of Melbourne.
My expertise is significantly enhanced by my PhD research, which focuses on the strategic use and integration of AI in Public Health and Health Promotion education to prepare students for a rapidly changing workforce. I currently lead several major university- and school-wide projects focused on assessment redesign and the strategic integration of AI into curriculum, fostering critical thinking while upholding academic integrity.
Throughout my career, including leadership roles such as Director of Learning and Growth, Middle Years Curriculum Leader, and Pedagogical Coach, I have developed a robust skillset in curriculum mapping, assessment design, and educational compliance. I have critically evaluated and audited teaching programs to ensure alignment with external bodies, including the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, ASQA, and the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority. This extensive experience translates directly to ensuring quality curriculum and operational excellence in the higher education context.
As the Deputy Associate Head of School Learning and Teaching, I work at the intersection of research, practice, and education, driven by a deep commitment to high-quality, future-proof education and enhancing the student experience through evidence-based solutions. My approach to educational leadership prioritises collaboration, humility, and a deep commitment to staff support and mentoring, ensuring that all learning initiatives are driven by principles of justice and equity.
