RESEARCH INTERESTS

AsPr Aisbett leads a research program that uses exercise science to enable
workplaces to promote and preserve the health and safety of workers in
physically demanding occupations (e.g., military, emergency services,
nursing). His specific exercise science expertise includes the analysis of:
physical work demands, workers' heat stress and hydration, stress, sleep and
fatigue; and development of job specific fitness tests.

He has worked in partnership with over 20 organisations spanning the civilian
and military emergency services, contributing to their policy and procedures
on workers' health, safety, and selection.

Knowledge Areas
Physical demands and physiological responses to physically demanding work.

Interactions between sleep, physical work, and exercise (including training).

Health and safety of workers in physically demanding occupations (e.g.,
military, civilian emergency services and nursing).
