My first research interest uses neuroimaging and neurostimulation technologies - including electroencephalography (EEG), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) - to examine cognition in healthy and clinical populations. I currently use EEG to measure how sleeping and waking neural oscillations support human attention and memory in individuals with attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). 

My second research interest promotes open research and facilitate data sharing in the cognitive neurosciences. As part of the “Big 'Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation' (NIBS) Project’, I have helped create the first data sharing repository designed for the NIBS field and guidelines for sharing, storing, and analysing NIBS data. I currently use these data sharing principles to perform “big data” analyses to improve the clinical efficacy of NIBS to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

My teaching experience is primarily in foundational first- and second-year Psychology subjects. This includes, including ‘Introduction to Human Psychology’ (HPS111/HPY711), ‘Health Psychology: Behaviour Change’ (HBS110), ‘Research Methods: Introductory' (HPS201 / HPY771) and 'Research Methods: Advanced' (HPS434). My goals in teaching these subjects are to establish core research methods and statistic analytic skills that establish students for success in their future studies and professional careers.
