Professor Olivia Dean currently works within IMPACT TRIALS at the School of Medicine, Deakin University and holds honorary appointments with the Mental Health Research Institute and Barwon Health. Prof. Dean has a program of research focusing on novel therapies for psychiatric disorders and biological psychiatry. Prof Dean has led several multi-centre, international clinical trials and translated this work into policy and practice. Prof. Dean's current research interests include both basic and clinical science and centre around developing treatments targeting oxidative biology and inflammation in several psychiatric disorders. This research may not only benefit individuals with these disorders, but will also provide important evidence to better understand the underlying biological factors involved in the development of these disorders. Prof. Dean is committed to working with lived experts to maximise the impact of the research they undertake. Prof. Dean is a Chair of Faculty of Health's Community and Research Engageent Network.
