BIO
Associate Professor Amanda Wade is a clinician researcher and infectious diseases physician. She is an NHMRC REsearch Fellow at Deakin University and Burnet Institute, and Blood Borne Viruses Medical Lead at Barwon South West Public Health Unit. Amanda leads a program of viral hepatitis implementation research focusing on decentralising viral hepatitis care to achieve the World Health Organization elimination targets.
Amanda is nationally recognised for leadership in innovotive models of hepatitis C treatment in primary care. Her sustainasble translations have infromed international commissions and the national Elimination of Hepatitis C Partnership. She has served as Chair and Technical Writer for State and Commonwealth Department writing groups.
