RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests include medical/cellular physiology and medical education.

My education-related research relates primarily to education of health professions students. Current projects include:
- Experiences of neurodivergent health professional students in the clinical learning environment
- Assessment and feedback in medical education

 

My current laboratory-based projects include:
- The effects of metformin exposure during early development, with a particular focus on pregnancy and lactation
- The role of hydrogen sulfide in diabetes, specifically diabetic chronic kidney disease and beta cell function
