BIO

Dr Le is an experienced health economist with expertise in applied economic evaluation, focused on the economics of family and child health. She has co-designed and conducted >10 economic evaluations including the VicHealth award-winning Supermarket Eating for Life (SHELf) and SHOPSmart trials that aimed to promote healthy eating, and multiple NHMRC- and ARC-funded trials that aimed to prevent problems in child behaviour, language and learning. She also leads complex economic data analyses on population health studies (e.g. the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children, which follows the development of 10,000 children and families). Her work has included academic research (>70 papers) and consultation, where she has led over 10 cost-effectiveness analysis/return on investment for Health, Education and Criminology policy partners, including the Victorian Department of Education, NSW Department of Communities and Justice, SA Department of Human Services and NSW Ministry of Health (11 reports). Her research has had a significant influence on population health research, policy and practice.

 

Student supervision: has supervised 10 master students to completion and 7 PhD students (3 primary, 4 as co-supervisor), two have completed.
