TEACHING EXPERTISE

Dr Melissa O’Shea has a commitment to the creation of authentic learning environments to support students to develop into effective, safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive psychologists prepared to work within the contemporary mental health sector. Her application of contemporary and research-informed teaching and learning including flipped classroom approaches, embedded simulation, competency-based assessment design, and collaborative and peer teaching and leadership is designed to engage students and ensure their achievement of clinical psychology competencies.

She is currently the Unit Chair for HPS777/977 Psychological Interventions 1 (Foundation CBT), as well as teaching in various units across the clinical psychology programs.
