TEACHING EXPERTISE
The teaching of Professor Pepin is informed by Vygotsky’s social development theory where she promotes learning contexts where students are encouraged, challenged, and supported to become active learners. It emphasizes student-centred approaches fostering critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration as occupational therapy and as HDR students in an inclusive and equitable learning environment. She also promotes experiential and project-based learning that encourage students to apply their learning to real-world contexts. Professor Pepin's approach promotes inclusivity, diversity, and cultural awareness in learning methods, activities, and resources. She prioritises continuous assessment and feedback to support students' growth and development.
