BIO

Professor Radbourne recently retired from the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor
(Arts and Education) at Deakin University. Prior to this position, Professor
Radbourne has had diverse roles in higher education including Head of School,
School of Communication and Creative Arts at Deakin University, Assistant Dean
of Teaching and Learning at the Queensland University of Technology, two years
as Director of an international program in Hong Kong, and director of an arts
management program for 15 years. Professor Radbourne has been the recipient of
four ARC grants, the first investigating the impact of competition policy on
performing arts organisations, the second mapping the creative industries in
Queensland and developing value and supply chain models, the third involving
performing arts audience reception analysis in performing arts centres in
Queensland and the Northern Territory, and the fourth investigating the
sustainability of the twenty first century orchestra. Professor Radbourne has
been a board director of state, national and international arts organisations
and is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the International
Association for the Management of Arts and Culture. She is on the Editorial
Board of International Journal of Arts Management (IJAM), and the Asia Pacific
Journal of Arts Management and is a Book Review Editor for IJAM. Professor
Radbourne is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, and a
graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her current
research interests include creative enterprise, and cultural entrepreneurship,
arts policy and governance, the arts audience experience, and innovation and
risk in artistic development.
