BIO
Dr John Molineux is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management in Deakin Business School. John joined Deakin in 2012 after over 30 years in human resource management (HRM) roles in industry. He is currently teaching HRM and leadership to postgraduate students. His research interests currently focus on industry-sponsored projects, with an emphasis on human performance and wellbeing. John is also keenly interested in strategic HRM, organisation change and action research.
In the last few years, he has received a number of industry grants to undertake research in human performance and wellbeing. John is currently supervising one PhD student after successfully supervising a further six PhD and one DBA students to completion of their degrees.
In his previous career, he worked in HR roles in several organisations as an HR manager/director, HR strategist and other HR professional roles. His completed his PhD in 2005 and was involved in a research project involving a systemic approach to Strategic HRM that resulted in organisational cultural change.
John is actively involved in the Australian Human Resources Institute, where he is currently a member of the National Certification Council and Research Advisory Panel. He is also a member of the Academy of Management, the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management and Vice-President of the Action Learning and Action Research Association.
