DrSophie Mckenzie

I am a passtionate teaching and research academic with over 20 years of experience in supporting students in higher education to achieve their career goals to work in Information Technology. My teaching and research intersect to explore ways in which we can support the student experience through career development, IT assisted learning, cyber security and augmented and virtual reality. I am a lab leader for the immersive technologies group and a theme lead for promoting cybersafe behaviours in research centre Deakin Cyber. My research profile supports my evidenced based approach to supporting student achievement, along with ways to effectively use digital technologies in the classroom.
