BIO

Dr Konsita Kuswara is a public health nutrition researcher and accredited practising dietitian with expertise in early childhood nutrition promotion and knowledge translation, particularly among culturally and linguistically diverse communities. She is a postdoctoral research fellow at CRE EPOCH-Translate, a national research collaboration focused on promoting healthy behaviours and preventing obesity in early childhood. She also works as a Population Health Promotion Officer at the Western Public Health Unit, where she supports implementation of healthier food systems and environments.

Konsita’s research explores how evidence-based strategies to promote healthy eating and active play can be integrated into routine primary health care. She has contributed to national discussions on early childhood obesity prevention, collaborated with policymakers, and led capacity-building initiatives for early career researchers. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and featured in public health media.

Konsita co-chairs the EPOCH-Connect Community of Practice and is an active member of the Collaboration for Enhanced Research Impact (CERI), fostering partnerships to translate prevention research into practice.
