TEACHING EXPERTISE

Dr Clara Usma-Mansfield is a Senior Lecturer in Engineering Design with extensive experience teaching across product design, engineering design, and applied design innovation. Her teaching focuses on developing students' capabilities in design thinking, user-centred design, product development, and engineering problem-solving. Dr Usma-Mansfield is passionate about creating engaging, practice-oriented learning experiences that connect theory with real-world applications, particularly in sports engineering and product innovation. Committed to fostering inclusive learning environments that encourage creativity, critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of industry-relevant skills for future engineers and designers.
