RESEARCH INTERESTS

Vanessa Sturre is a registered psychologist with an endorsement in organisational psychology. Prior to joining Deakin University, Vanessa had
over 10 years experience working for a management consulting firm providing expert organisational psychology advice and consultancy services to a range of organisations. Vanessas current research interests revolve around strategic improvement relating to student placements and the contribution they make to learning, employability, and graduate outcomes.

Projects and awards
Vanessa maintains a wide business and student network to ensure effective relationships are developed and maintained between the University and the Community. Vanessa participates in University committees relating to placements. Vanessa's educational scholariship and work in the placement and employability space has resulted in being a recipient of a Vice Chancellor’s Award in 2022 and a 2025 Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM) Industry and Community Engagement Excellence Award.
