BIO
Toni is an Associate Lecturer in psychology and a registered psychologist. She works from an educational and developmental lens, with a special interest in working with neurodivergent populations and their intersectionality as it relates to learning and wellbeing. She also has an emerging interest in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Her research broadly focuses on self‑regulated learning in higher education, drawing on educational psychology to examine how teaching practices, assessment design, and learning environments can better support student engagement, persistence, and academic success. A key strand of her work explores self‑regulated learning in neurodivergent and neurotypical students, with an emphasis on inclusive, strengths‑based, and evidence‑informed approaches that promote equality in learning environments. She has a strong focus on evidence-based teaching practices that can be embedded across large undergraduate units.
