BIO

Dr Klas is a senior lecturer and mixed methods researcher in the School of Psychology. She has extensive experience in social and environmental psychology, health intervention science and qualitative methodology. Broadly, Dr Klas is interested in the social-psychological components of health and environmentalism, especially the underlying psychological mechanisms that drive these attitudes, emotions and behaviours. Specifically, she currently has three major streams of research, including: (1) examining the psychology of climate (in)action and sustainability, (2) the development and implementation of psycho-social interventions for women's health and (3) the use of qualitative methods in Psychology, especially in the prior two research streams. Dr Klas is the Co-Lead of the ‘Qualitative Methods Stream’ in the Data Sciences Team (2019-currently) and a member of the Deakin Lifespan Institute.
