BIO

Dr. Chin Koi Khoo is an academic currently serving as the Course Coordinator in Architecture at Deakin University, Australia. His work focuses on research, publication, and teaching in digital design, AI-aided architectural design, digital heritage, virtual and augmented reality, human-building interaction (HBI), and responsive environments. Prior to joining Deakin University, Dr. Khoo completed his PhD and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow and sessional lecturer at RMIT University. There, he collaborated with the School of Architecture and Design and the School of Computer Science and Information Technology. During his postdoctoral fellowship, Dr. Khoo concentrated on research and teaching in digital and computational design, leading to the development of sensory and interactive architecture for existing built environments, utilising responsive material systems. Over the past decade, Dr. Khoo has achieved significant research outcomes, published in 33 international, peer-reviewed publications, including the International Journal of Architectural Computing (IJAC), and proceedings of the Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture (ACADIA) and the International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp).
