DrGunveen Kaur

Dr Gunveen Kaur is a Senior Lecturer in Nutritional Sciences at the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences and is a member of Institute of Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN) at Deakin University. Dr Kaur's teaching and research interests focus on investigating the effects of dietary fats, specifically omega-3 fats, on metabolism and in prevention and management of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and insulin resistance, at a clinical and molecular level. Dr Kaur has 40 peer-reviewed publications with >2200 citations. Out of her 40 publications, >78% are published in top 25% journals and 58% feature international collaborations. Dr Kaur has won $182K in competitive category 1 research funding as CI, including $52K as CI-A  on diet and cardiometabolic health.
