TEACHING EXPERTISE
Erik has primarily taught in the Doctor of Medicine degree at Deakin's School of Medicine. He is currently leading the Public Health Medicine theme across all 4 years of the medical course and coordinates the 2nd year of the Public Health Medicine theme. Erik is an advisor for medical student research projects in the area of Public Health Medicine, and Coordinator of the Darwin Clinical Placements program. In the past has also served as Unit Chair in 1st and 2nd years of the medical course. In addition to PhD supervision featured in this profile, Erik has supervised Honours projects in the areas of assessing chronic disease risk in medical students, exploring healthy beverage policies at health services, and providing primary care for trans and gender-diverse patients.
