Senior Research Fellow - Biostatistics Unit
Steve is currently a senior research fellow with the Faculty of Health's
Biostatistics unit.
Senior Lecturer / Lecturer
Steve has previously lectured in applied statistics at undergraduate and post-
graduate levels at Swinburne University of Technology, RMIT University. He
taught and co-ordinated both online and face-to-face classes.
From 2003-2012, Steve lectured in Biostatistics and coordinated courses at all
levels and conducted numerous face-to-face, online distance learning lectures
and workshops to post-graduate biostatistics and clinical epidemiology
students at the University of Newcastle.
Prior to 2003, he was a mathematics teacher and taught in a range of high
schools throughout NSW and NT, Australia.
Research
He worked as a Senior Research Fellow (biostatistician) at the Centre for
Behavioural Research in Cancer (CBRC) at The Cancer Council Victoria,
Australia.
He completed his PhD in Applied Biostatistics at the School of Medicine and
Public Health, The University of Newcastle NSW in 2011.
Steve has co-authored over 20 journal publications and has co-supervised
several higher research degree students.
