BIO

Christine is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting within the Faculty of Business and Finance. She has extensive experience in the tertiary sector, working at Deakin over the last 10 years and prior to that 7 years at Monash, sessional teaching at RMIT and over 15 years at TAFE. Christine teaches in the Accounting capstone unit and in auditing units. Christine researches in audit teams and education.

Christine is a strong proponent of active learning, authentic activities, and assessment. She has won three Vice Chancellor's awards and two AAUT teaching and learning awards.

She is a Chartered Accountant having worked in audit and accounting roles before joining academia. Over her time at Deakin, Christine has been the Associate Dean, Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Business and Law (4 years) and the Director of Teaching in the Accounting Department (3 years).
