BIO
I am a Lecturer in Medical Imaging and Clinical Learning at Deakin University and a current Medical Imaging Practitioner at Barwon Health, with more than 25 years of clinical experience. Maintaining active clinical practice allows me to bring current, real world healthcare experiences into my teaching.
My work focuses on clinical education, simulation-based learning, curriculum design, assessment, and preparing students for successful professional practice. I have led a range of curriculum innovations, including authentic clinical simulation activities, interprofessional learning initiatives, and technology enhanced learning experiences.
I am passionate about creating supportive and engaging learning environments that build student confidence, clinical reasoning, and professional identity. My scholarly interests include healthcare education, clinical imaging research, reflective practice, and the effective use of generative AI in higher education.
Alongside my teaching, I remain actively involved in clinical research and professional engagement, with a focus on translating evidence into practice and improving learning experiences for future healthcare professionals.
