BIO

Amanda is a Professor in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations and Head of the Department of Management in Deakin Business School. In a career spanning thirteen years in higher education, Amanda has worked in Australia and internationally and is currently the Head of the Department of Management in addition to holding a professoriate position. Amanda has established a strong track record as a researcher in the areas of employee voice, employee engagement and employee workplace participation, both in Australia and internationally.

Amanda has utilised Australian and international workplace data and worked with small and medium-sized firms in the UK. Amanda's publication record includes over 37 journal papers, book chapters and books. Amanda's work with industry has primarily been concentrated in the small and medium enterprise sector, but she has also worked with key government bodies such as Fair Work Australia, in addition to receiving federal teaching and learning funds to undertake and complete a project on graduate employability and the use of business cases in management education from 2014 to 2016. Amanda is also an Associate Editor of the Human Resource Management Journal.
