TEACHING EXPERTISE
Since 2006, Helen has sustained an evidence-based, practice-focused approach to training postgraduate psychology trainees for effective and compassionate work with people experiencing severe and complex mental illness. Drawing on her dual roles at Deakin and Eastern Health, she translates current research, clinical policies and service realities into real-world learning. Her teaching exemplifies the scientist–practitioner model and Deakin principles of authentic, active, collaborative and feedback-focused learning.
