BIO
Dr Jacobs is an early career researcher after completing her PhD in 2021 which focused socio-economic and regional variation in the prevalence and determinants of childhood obesity. Now working as the Data Manager on the Precision Evidence in Childhood Obesity Prevention Interventions (PRECIS) project, she leads the data collation and harmonisation of multiple Australian and international obesity prevention community-based interventions. Dr Jacobs is also involved in projects focusing on food retail environments, including as a CI on an EMCR MRFF Incubator grant aimed at generating solutions to poorer diets in regional and rural communities.
Jane previously worked as a clinical Physiotherapist, and has completed a Masters of Epidemiolgy and PostGrad certificate in Public Health.
Dr Jacobs is a member of Institute for Health Transformation (IHT), and Research Excellence in Food Retail Environments for Health (REFRESH)
