BIO
Martin is a mathematician by training who currently applies his quantitative expertise to the analysis of large datasets arising in medical research. He has worked with ecology and evolution groups in North America and Europe, was a research fellow with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Mathematics and Statistics of Complex Systems at the University of Queensland, and worked with the bioinformatics group at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute before coming to Deakin to oversee microbiome bioinformatics in the Barwon Infant Study. He also holds a partial appointment with the Institute for Mental & Physical Health & Clinical Translation, where he collaborates on a wide variety of projects.
