BIO

Emma is the Research Translation Coordinator (Barwon/South West region) for the DELIVER program; a 5 year, $9 million MRFF Rapid Applied Research Translation Project led by Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre and the Deakin University Institute for Health Transformation. DELIVER seeks to address key challenges to providing sustainable and effective home-based care to older people in rural areas. In this role Emma engages with key stakeholders to develop novel and high-quality research translation activities and build research capability across health services.

Emma is also a Research Fellow at the Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation (IMPACT). Her research examines the nexus between muscle decline and mental health in ageing. In this role Emma collaborates on the Geelong Osteoporosis Study; an ongoing population based study that encompasses one of the largest psychiatric epidemiological studies in Australia.
