BIO

Dr Nguyen is an Early Career Researcher gaining recognition for her expertise in the economic evaluation of preventive health interventions (obesity and sedentary behaviour). Dr Nguyen began her academic career in 2017 at Deakin University and completed her PhD in August 2023. Dr Nguyen is currently a member of the Economics of Obesity team within Deakin Health Economics (DHE) and the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition (GLOBE). In 2023 Dr Nguyen received the Deakin Executive Dean Health Research Fellowship. She was a member of research team that was awarded the Excellence and Innovation in Public Health Team Research Award (2019) by the Council of Academic Public Health Institutions in Australia (CAPHIA) and the Research Impact (2020) by the Institute for Health Transformation (IHT).
