RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr Liz de Rome is an injury epidemiologist and behavioural scientist with
academic and public sector experience. She has over 20 years' experience as a
road safety consultant and an international reputation for her work in
motorcycle safety. She has a particular interest in motorcycle protective
clothing and has led research towards the development of an independent safety
'star' rating system to inform motorcyclists as to which products are fit for
purpose. Her current focus in on the development on design criteria for
motorcycle clothing that is suitable for use in hot climates without
compromising protection.
