RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research examines how people and AI systems share work. I use task analysis, computational studies and research software to investigate which decisions need human judgement, which can be supported by language models, and which are suited to deterministic tools. I am interested in human oversight, inspectable automation, simulation and evidence-led evaluation in Defence, health, disability services and energy systems.
