I am available to supervise PhD students in a range of areas including:

  • railway history and heritage, including Puffing Billy Railway, histories of local communities along the railway, and cultural histories of railways in      Australia, UK/Wales, Taiwan
  • history of healthcare, including cancer prevention, rise of the concept of trauma, history of food and nutrition promotion   
  • Australian political and policy history
  • First World War/Anzac legend/war memory
