BIO

Dr Ebony Biden is an Associate Research Fellow in the Deakin Lifespan Institute. Ebony holds a PhD in developmental psychology. Ebony's primary research interest relates to preconception health and wellbeing and its role in the transition to parenthood and next generation socio-emotional development. Ebony currently works on the 1 in 10 Men Project developing public health and clinical guidelines for the preconception education and care of men and boys to support future fathers' mental health. Ebony has emerging expertise in the area of life course and longitudinal research, having worked with several of Australia's long running prospective and intergenerational cohort studies. Ebony also has experience in teaching and unit administration.
