BIO

Jon has been involved in the intersection between education and technology for over 30 years, taking on roles including system administration, technical support, professional development, consulting, material development and learning design. He has worked in both the private and higher educational sectors, with experience at multiple universities as well as multiple faculties within Deakin.

 

As a learning designer, Jon is especially interested in the use of narrative and storytelling techniques, ways to represent knowledge in visual and interactive formats, and integrating online and classroom-based environments to create active and engaging learning experiences.

 

In his spare time, Jon enjoys solving puzzles (especially cryptic crosswords and sudokus) and writing - he has published a number of novels, novellas and picture books.
