BIO
Dr Marley Binder is an associate research fellow at Deakin rural health. Marley's primary research interest is the amelioration of rural health inequalities. Marley completed her PhD in 2017, with her thesis entitled “Characterization of ADAMTS-15: a potential tumour suppressor gene in prostate cancer” and plans to extend on this work by leading and developing initiatives to support men’s health in rural areas particularly in the area of prostate cancer. Marley has research expertise in mix methods, qualitative and systematic review methods. Marley has recently led and participated in research projects including risk perception on health seeking behaviours during COVID and rural medical education.
