BIO

Luke Chong is a Senior Lecturer in Optometry and Vision Science at Deakin University. He obtained his Bachelor of Optometry degree from The University of Melbourne in 2009 and later completed his PhD in 2015. Following this, he undertook a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California Berkeley before returning to Australia to join Deakin University in 2018 as a Lecturer. Dr. Chong is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Australian College of Optometry and Higher Education Academy. His research interests include clinical psychophysics, with a focus on developing a better understanding of normal visual processing and damage due to disease, and to develop better clinical tests for the assessment of visual function.
