BIO

Dr Chunfang (Emma) Feng is an Associate Research Fellow at Deakin University’s Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM), with more than 10 years of research and industrial experience in advanced materials, nanomaterials and nanocomposites.

Her research interests include carbon materials, sodium-ion battery anodes, biomass-derived materials, nanocomposites, graphene-based materials and boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs).

She has extensive experience in materials synthesis, processing, scale-up and characterisation, including graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide and BNNT production, as well as electrochemical and structural characterisation of advanced materials. Her work aims to develop high-performance, scalable and sustainable materials for next-generation energy storage and advanced technological applications.
