BIO

Xiangkang Yin is a Professor in the Finance Discipline Group at Deakin Business School. Prior to joining Deakin University, he spent over 23 years at La Trobe University, where he was appointed Professor of Economics and Finance in 2006. He served as Head of the Department of Finance at La Trobe from 2012 to 2014, and at Deakin University from 2019 to 2025.

 

Xiangkang's recent research covers a wide range of financial issues in asset pricing and investment, corporate finance and governance, and financial markets microstructure and information. He publishes extensively in top-tier and leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Journal of Development Economics. Xiangkang is the chief investigator of three ARC (Australian Research Council) funded research projects.
