MrsSithara Wanni Arachchige Dona

Sithara Wanni Arachchige Dona is an Associate Research Fellow and PhD Candidate with Deakin Health Economics, where her work spans public health, child and maternal health, and applied health economics. Her research focuses on evaluating health services and systems, with experience across economic evaluation, systematic reviews, and modelling studies. She is particularly interested in quantitative and qualitative research in prevention and child health broadly. 

Over her time at Deakin, Sithara has contributed to significant research examining childhood health outcomes, service utilisation, and health-related quality of life, including evaluating the impact of health policy changes, conducting economic evaluations, and undertaking systematic reviews and meta-analyses on ADHD, maternal health, and chronic disease prevention.

As an emerging researcher with master’s degrees in Public Health and Health and Human Services Management, Sithara brings strong expertise in quantitative methods, evidence synthesis, and health service analysis. This commitment is extended through her PhD project, which aims to assess the economic impact of child anxiety in Australia using panel data.
