BIO

Dr. Alex Jun Yao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at Deakin University. Alex earned his PhD in Finance from the City University of Hong Kong in 2004. Before joining Deakin University, he served as a visiting Assistant Professor at the City University of Hong Kong.

His primary research interests include financial reporting, corporate finance, and capital markets. His work has appeared in reputable journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Business Finance and Accounting.
