TEACHING EXPERTISE
My teaching focuses on developing future sport leaders who can effectively navigate the governance, leadership, and inclusion challenges facing the sport sector. I teach across undergraduate and postgraduate sport management programs, with particular expertise in sport governance, leadership, and contemporary issues in sport.
I adopt a research-informed and industry-connected approach to teaching that encourages students to critically engage with real-world issues and apply academic knowledge to professional practice. My teaching emphasises ethical leadership, evidence-based decision-making, inclusivity, and social responsibility, reflecting my broader commitment to advancing equity and positive change in sport.
I am passionate about creating learning experiences that connect theory with practice and equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to succeed in a rapidly evolving sport industry. Through authentic assessments, contemporary case studies, and collaborative learning opportunities, I encourage students to think critically, challenge assumptions, and develop practical solutions to complex organisational and societal issues.
By creating supportive and engaging learning environments, I seek to empower students to become reflective practitioners, effective leaders, and responsible decision-makers who can contribute to more inclusive, sustainable, and impactful sport organisations and communities.
