BIO

Karla Coutts is a higher educational teaching and learning professional with a strong focus on educator practice and research. She has extensive experience in teaching and learning, with a particular emphasis on the student experience. Karla is recognised for her thought leadership and has received multiple awards for academic development and educator practice. Her work includes strategic project facilitation expertise both nationally and locally. Karla is dedicated to empowering people to do well, connecting people within and external to the university, and has a passion for fostering inclusivity and belonging in higher education. Her work has influenced strategy, policy, and practice, and contributes internationally to a rich, ethical, collaborative higher education academic community.
