TEACHING EXPERTISE
Prof Debnath teaches Traffic and Transportation Engineering to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Leveraging his leadership in Transport Engineering and extensive industry-engaged research, he has translated research insights into teaching curricula to facilitate practical and real-world learning experiences. Grounded in contemporary pedagogical models, his teaching integrates industry standards and real-world transport case studies to create highly authentic learning environments that make learning enjoyable, inclusive, and tailored to meet diverse student needs. He creates a fun and engaging learning environment by incorporating humour to make complex transport engineering concepts relatable to individuals and everyday travel.
He is currently the unit chair and an active educator of SEV402_SEV702 'Traffic and Transportation Engineering', which is offered to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition, he led the design and development of several units and microcredentials focused on Transportation Infrastructure Systems and Railway Engineering.
