BIO

A/Prof. Kris Law is an internationally recognised scholar in engineering education, systems engineering, and organisational learning, with a distinguished career spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Australia. She currently serves as an Associate Professor at Deakin University, contributing leadership in engineering education, infrastructure strategy, and systems thinking.

 

Holding a PhD in Organisational Learning and Development and an MPhil in Material Processing Technology from City University of Hong Kong, she was also awarded postdoctoral research scholarship at National Taiwan University. She is internationally recognised as a Docent (Reader-equivalent) in Industrial Engineering and Management and Innovation, at the University of Oulu, Finland. 

 

A/Prof. Law brings strong industry–academia integration, with over 2 decades of experience translating real-world challenges into impactful research and educational innovation. She has led and contributed to multi-million-dollar research projects internationally (including Taiwan, Europe, Hong Kong) advancing learning analytics, innovation systems, and sustainable infrastructure.

 

Her research uniquely integrates systems engineering, management, and human-centred learning, with strong global impact demonstrated through extensive publications and citations.

 

Looking forward, she is advancing visionary research directions at the frontier of AI–human organisational learning, socio-technical urban systems, and ancient wisdom-informed systems thinking, alongside AI-enabled urbanisation and governance, shaping adaptive, resilient, and intelligent systems for future cities and organisations.
