TEACHING EXPERTISE
Dr Shaw teaches primarily in areas of clinical neuroscience, with a particular
focus on equipping medical students with the skills to assess patients with
neurological deficits, in order to facilitate localisation. His goal is for
all his students to be able to competently assess neurology patients by the
time they commence internship. In addition, he teaches and assesses students
in both written and clinical examination skills, with a particular focus on
general and subspecialty internal medicine, in order to prepare them for
written progress tests and OSCE examinations.
