Discipline Lead for Disability and Inclusion
Angela is a sociologist with over 40 years working in the disability field in
direct service, management, teaching and research roles. Angela's main
research and teaching interests relate to the lived experiences of people with
a disability and their family members. She has a particular focus on people
with complex support needs including people with disability from Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, people with disability from refugee
backgrounds, and those living in rural and remote areas.
Angela completed her PhD at The University of Sydney graduating in 2011.
Angela's PhD thesis explored the later life relationships of adults with
cerebral palsy and their non-disabled siblings as parents aged.
